Phone lines in north Devon have been damaged by rodents
The phone line damage in Devon caused a blackout for over 1,800 Openreach customers on the 15th of October.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, people are more reliant on their broadband connection than ever before, due to working from home and communication with friends & family, who are further a field.
The damage was swiftly fixed by Openreach, who said the final fibres of the damaged network were fixed by their engineers in the early hours of the morning after battling against the elements in awful weather conditions, in order to fix the damage done.
Customer in the north Devon area should now have their connection restored.
Outages can be very annoying, for the customer and for the engineers. Have you ever an outage like this?
